I was fortunate to benefit from being taught by an inspirational Art teacher, Hugh Davies, at the Grammar School in Abergavenny and from there I pursued an art education through two colleges which led me to the prestigious third one, Goldsmiths in London. After teaching in that city for six years, I secured the position of Head of Art in a Yorkshire college. I was lucky enough to be awarded a year at Leeds University to carry out research into the creative process with patients in a psychiatric hospital and prisoners in jail.
After thirty one years living in the North of England, the time came for me to return to Wales and in 2002 I duly did so. I have continued to explore and enjoy the place which always was and still is home.
Work on display in Martin’s Framing and Gallery, Baker Street, Abergavenny.
